1) Andre Braugher.
2) Running now that nights are cooler (40F is a lot more energetic than 90F at 11pm).
3) My approved leave for next academic year.
4) Everyone in the world. Yes, everyone.
Tourist Day 1 Recap
22 hours ago
Meanwhile the mind, from pleasure less,
Withdraws into its happiness:
The mind, that ocean where each kind
Does straight its own resemblance find;
Yet it creates, transcending these,
Far other worlds, and other seas;
Annihilating all that's made
To a green thought in a green shade.

Everyone in the world? That's very generous. :)
Where is this "leave" taking you?
Approved leave! (what is the emoticon for "confetti and balloons"?)
Hey, Congratulations! And thanks! And love back atcha!
(My verification is "dogma"!)
I will be "leaving" to my computer, in the office in my basement. And I won't move until the book is done.
Hooray!!
And though I'm not sure that everyone in the world is quite good enough for you, RG, I guess that's just a lesson you'll have to learn on your own.
Pretty close to everyone in the world, I feel certain. But especially Andre Braugher. I've slowly watched the entire series of Homicide: Life on the Street over the last couple of years, and he's so, so freaking riveting. And I'm filled with glee that he's showing up on House this season.
Have I mentioned that if I can get the fellowship for which I plan to apply, I'll be off teaching from April 2010 to September 2011? I'm not counting my chickens, though. And I can make some hay from April 2010 to January 2011, in any case.
A.B. on _House_ has been awesome. It almost makes enduring several hours of Monday classes worth it. Almost.
