Portrait of Clara (as a chemist)

Meanwhile the mind, from pleasure less,
Withdraws into its happiness:
The mind, that ocean where each kind
Does straight its own resemblance find;
Yet it creates, transcending these,
Far other worlds, and other seas;
Annihilating all that's made
To a green thought in a green shade.
Andrew Marvell, "The Garden" 41-48

By chance I just came back to this blog that I loved reading over a decade ago. It doesn't look like you continued with it but I wanted to say thank you for it. It gave me great pleasure and was part of a supportive community for me. Polvo indescifrabile.
